Save a Picture as a Local File on Windows or Mac

  1. Right-click an image

  2. This will bring up the context menu.

  3. On Mac, you can also control-click (Ctrl+click) to open the context menu. .

  4. Select Save Image As.

  5. Choose a location and filename.

  6. Select Save and you're done!

Customize your screen saver on your Mac

Mac Users


In the Safari app on your Mac, Control-click the image. Choose Save Image to “Downloads,” Save Image As, or Add Image to Photos. Some images, such as background images, can't be saved.

Choose Apple menu > System Settings on your Mac, then click Screen Saver in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Click a screen saver thumbnail on the right, click Options, then adjust the settings.

The options available vary depending on the screen saver you select.

  1. Source: Click the pop-up menu, then choose the pictures to show in the screen saver. You can use pictures that come with macOS or choose pictures from a folder or your Photo Library.

  2. The top thumbnail shows how the screen saver will look. To check how the screen saver looks full screen, click Preview. To stop the screen saver and return to the settings, move the pointer.

  3. Shuffle slide order: Show pictures in a random order instead of their order in the source.

  4. Other screen saver options: Set options for color, speed, and more.

  5. Click OK.

Customize your screen saver on your PC

Windows Users


Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, and select Screen saver settings. In the Screen Saver Settings window, choose a screen saver from the drop-down list.
